Assistant Professor Chat: Seeing Service as Worth Doing

Join a small group of assistant professors from across campus in open discussions on topics of interest to tenure-track faculty. The sessions will connect faculty with campus leaders and fellow colleagues, foster a sense of community, and provide opportunities to learn about key programs, research funding initiatives, and other resources that support career success.

This chat will focus on seeing service as worth doing. All sessions include a free lunch and are free of charge.

This event is part of the Assistant Professor Chat Series. There are typically four chats per academic year, two in the fall and two in the spring. Topics include mentoring, leadership, climate and inclusion, and advancement. The series is co-sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of the Faculty and the vice provost for faculty and staff.
